Qingdao students enjoy ice and snow sports
The eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province has seen a significant boom in the popularity of ice and snow sports in recent years, further ignited by the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, which began on Feb 4 and will run through Feb 20.
The city has also launched a slew of measures to popularize ice and snow sports among students and improve their skills, such as by incorporating the sports into the physical education curriculum.

Ice and snow sports have become popular among local students over the winter vacation.
Under the professional guidance of figure skating and ice hockey coaches, students from Qingdao Jilong Road Primary School visited an ice rink to learn about the sports and get some exercise.

Students at Qingdao Wangbu Primary School held an activity to welcome the Beijing Winter Olympics, during which they practiced skiing and curling with the help of professional coaches.
Students from Qingdao No 2 Experimental Primary School incorporated elements of the Beijing Winter Olympics into their paintings to wish success for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
