Qingdao cross-sea metro line starts trail operations
The southern section of Qingdao Metro Line 1 started a two-day trail operation on Dec 25, receiving 80,000 pre-registered passengers.
Qingdao Metro Line 1 currently has the country's longest undersea subway tunnel, which spans 8.1 kilometers and a maximum depth of 88 meters between undersea areas and sea level.
Qingdao Metro Line 1 has a total length of 60 kilometers and 41 stations. It traverses West Coast New Area and the districts of Shinan, Shibei, Licang and Chengyang, connecting the bus station of West Coast New Area, Qingdao Railway Station, Qingdao North Railway Station, Qingdao Long-distance Bus Station, Qingdao North Bus Station and other important transportation hubs.
