A shopping boom is expected during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday on Sept 19-21 in the Shinan district of Qingdao city – in East China's Shandong province – after it recently launched a raft of 250,000 yuan ($38,666) electronic shopping vouchers for the 2021 Cultural & Tourism Consumption Season through an online platform.  

It is reported that it would be the third batch of shopping vouchers of 2021 Cultural & Tourism Consumption Season and on Sept 19, the first day of the Mid-Autumn festival holiday locals can get the consumer coupon through scanning the QR code.

It's understood the coupons are being used by 17 enterprises, covering such products such as books, newspapers and periodicals, films and cultural products.  

Officials said that the shopping season will last until October.
