Christian Blüthner, CEO of time-honored German piano brand Blüthner, congratulated Qingdao for its opening of the world's first art piano exhibition hall.
Unveiled to the public on Aug 2, the art piano exhibition hall showcases 43 art pianos that bear designs by more than 40 Chinese contemporary artists.
Located in the Sino-German Ecopark in the Qingdao West Coast New Area, the exhibition hall is a non-profit cultural venue that integrates art piano exhibition, art education and music leisure. The hall will also function as an important platform to promote red art.
Blüthner said that Qingdao and his company have enjoyed a long friendship that dates back to a concert held in the city in 1876.
As this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Blüthner said that Qingdao has made great achievements in economic and social development, and people's living standards have been significantly improved under the leadership of the CPC. He also expressed his congratulations on these achievements.
