Laoshan first held the Qingdao International Beer Festival in 1994.
In China, Qingdao is the first city to hold the beer festival, and this year marks the 31st session. Among Qingdao locations, Laoshan has been hosting the beer festival for the longest time. This year is the 28th time it is hosting the festival.
This year, the beer festival is also part of the district's efforts to promote all-for-one tourism to support the development of the local tourism industry. A slew of promotions and favorable policies have been released to achieve this objective.
The concept of all-for-one tourism was mentioned in the 2017 Government Work Report in March. The term refers to the integrated development of tourism spanning all levels of industry, including rural tourism, industrial tourism, cultural tourism and the service industry.
