Students and faculty of Qingdao University of Science and Technology attended a campus running event on July 3 as part of the university's activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Led by Chen Kezheng, president of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, the event was designed to display the vigor and energy of young students, as well as salute the Party.

At the campus of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, one can often encounter a red marker that reads, "Have fun. Improving your physical fitness will improve your personality and nature," with groups of young, healthy, and progressive students running by it.

This is part of the university's efforts to promote sports, as well as strengthen students' fitness and health. Through the "Love Sports" app, students can update their running data at each marker, which is also measured in the university's sports examination.

The "Love Sports" app also serves as platform to display the history and achievements of the CPC, according to students, who noted that they can learn more about the Party's revolutionary history and traditions through it.
