State-of-the-art technologies are highlighted during the 56th Higher Education Expo China in Qingdao, Shandong province, which opened on May 21.

With an exhibition area of more than 100,000 square meters, the three-day event has attracted some 1,500 universities and colleges as well as over 1,000 enterprises.

More than 10,000 exhibition items featuring teaching equipment, research results from universities and colleges, and innovations from enterprises are being displayed in some 4,300 booths.

Du Yubo, chairman of the China Association of Higher Education, said the exhibition represents the most advanced level of modernization of China's higher education equipment and innovative results.
