The eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province recently launched a short video contest soliciting works that showcase the city's modern, dynamic and fashionable image.

The event is designed to boost Qingdao's international profile and promote its unique urban culture.

The contest is soliciting a variety of content, such as creative short videos (including 30-second short videos on video streaming giants Douyin and Kuaishou), visual expression videos, vlogs and micro-documentaries.

All works should be between 30 seconds and five minutes.

According to the competition rules, any individual or organization in or outside China can take part in the contest. The submission period lasts until Oct 31. Participants can submit works to the official email address (qdxinmeitixiehui＠163.com).
