Approved by the Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the alliance is the first of its kind that integrates platforms for research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and finance development. It aims to introduce top-notch talents, promote transformation of technical results, as well as contribute to Qingdao's efforts in building a global industrial internet capital.
The alliance will support a series of postdoctoral innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and forums in Qingdao, recruit postdocs from home and abroad, as well as offer services to postdoctoral stations.
Qingdao has attached great importance to the introduction of postdocs. The city has distributed a total of 460 million yuan ($66.47 million) to postdoctoral stations and workshops to support their platform construction and personnel training.
The city has recruited 4,338 postdoctoral researchers, accounting for 38.3 percent of the province's total.
