The 30th Qingdao International Beer Festival came to an end at Golden Beach Beer City in Qingdao, Shandong province on Aug 16.

During the 17-day event, 1,500 different brews from across the globe and a host of popular snacks were presented to satisfy revelers from home and abroad.

Imported food, beer containers, and related items for the event received nucleic acid tests to ensure the health and safety of the public.

An extravaganza of over 200 activities, covering international exchanges, trade, exhibitions, artistic parades, drinking competitions, light and fireworks shows, as well as sports, were staged during the festival, adding fun and vitality to the summer in the coastal city.

This year, the organizing committee teamed with Alibaba's streaming media platform Youku, its travel portal Feizhu, and its e-commerce platform Taobao to launch an online beer festival to boost sales and reach more people.

At the closing ceremony, the organizing committee announced that the third Friday of July will be the opening day of the Qingdao International Beer Festival and next year's edition will last for 24 days.
