COSMOPlat, an industrial internet platform developed by China's home appliance maker Haier, is at the national forefront in developing industrial internet and facilitating its smart manufacturing.

With 340 million users, COSMOPlat has developed into one of the top three industrial internet platforms in the world, alongside similar platforms developed by General Electric of the United States and Siemens of Germany, according to officials in Qingdao.

COSMOPlat ranked first among China's cross-industry and cross-sector industrial internet platforms in 2019, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

It is also among the top global industrial internet service providers, according to rankings from Forrester, a market research company in the United States.

Relying on its extensive business background, competitive technical strength, and abundant marketing operating experience, COSMOPlat has helped formulate 31 national standards and five international standards in mass customization, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent factories, intelligent production, industrial big data and industrial internet.

It has also been approved to develop international standards for mass customization by main international standards organizations, such as the International Organization for Standardization and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

Zhou Yunjie, president of Haier Group, said that the industrial internet allows companies to customize products at speed and scale while boosting productivity and reducing costs, and it will further boost China's manufacturing prowess.
