Pingdu general aviation airport receives operating license
The Qingdao Cixian General Aviation Airport recently received its A1 general airport permit from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

Located in Pingdu, a county-level city in Qingdao, the airport covers an area of 43.8 hectares and includes an 800-meter-long, 30-meter-wide runway, 60,000-square-meter apron and a 10,000-square-meter hangar, according to A1 general airport of civil aviation standards.
According to CAAC's general airport classification, A1 general airports are those accommodating all types of scheduled aircraft operations which include aircraft designed for at least 10 passengers and any other type of air carrier operations.
Local authorities said that the airport will improve Shandong's general airport network and modern comprehensive transportation system, boost the development of Qingdao's general aviation industry, and improve disaster prevention, mitigation and emergency rescue in Pingdu.
