The Qingdao Marathon, originally scheduled for April 19, has been postponed to ensure the health and safety of runners amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.

The official WeChat account of the Qingdao Marathon announced on Feb 24 that it would start offering refunds for all participants.

On Feb 26, an automatic refund system for the full/half marathon will be made available. All full/half marathon runners will be refunded within seven working days. The entry fee will be returned to the payment account used in registration.

Refunds for the mini marathon, family run and charity run will be available between March 1 to 31. Runners can apply for the refund themselves on the official website or WeChat account.

Runners who registered through a third-party platform will receive a direct refund from the third-party platform. Please see the official announcement of each third-party platform for the specific refund method.

1. Login to the official website and click "registration inquiry" to enter the refund window.

Or log on to the official WeChat account "qdmarathon" and click "refund" in the drop-down menu.

2. Input the card number to get the registration information.

3. Click "apply for refund".

4. After applying for the refund, the verification code will be sent to the mobile phone number listed during registration. Fill in the verification code to complete the refund application.
