Shandong University (SU), the most prestigious university in East China's Shandong province, has announced plans to open a practice base in Qingdao city for its postgraduates.

The project will be jointly established by Qingdao Water Power Research Institute, according to the project's inauguration ceremony on April 12.

The base will offer 40 internships related to various subjects, with the aim of boosting commercialization of technical achievements.

SU will also arrange faculties to instruct and manage the selected students at the base.

Established in 2010, the Qingdao Water Power Research Institute is committed to R&D and manufacturing of high-end military-civilian equipment such as hydrodynamic systems, jet-pump power equipment, oil transportation equipment and other related equipment.
