Lanshan district in Linyi city of Shandong province spearheaded a strategic cooperation signing ceremony on Aug 11. This saw it officially join forces with the culture and tourism bureaus of six counties: Hedong, Yishui, Yinan, Pingyi, Feixian and Mengyin. This initiative aims to dismantle regional barriers, fostering comprehensive integration.
As Linyi's commercial heart, Lanshan champions a unique "shopping as tourism" philosophy, actively integrating commerce, culture, sports, tourism and exhibitions. It is transforming traditional markets into dynamic cultural tourism hubs. The agreement's core objective is to leverage complementary strengths, share resources, jointly expand markets, and enhance visitor traffic across the main city and surrounding counties.
Pioneering this vision, Lanshan has upgraded five of its markets to 3A-rated scenic spots. These transformed venues, adhering to A-level standards in facilities and environment, now attract hordes of visitors as vibrant shopping and tourist destinations.
The ceremony featured presentations from seven key businesses, including China International Food City, showcasing their distinct offerings and cultural tourism scenarios. Lanshan's tourism officials also unveiled attractive reward policies for tour groups, detailing the application processes.
At the culmination of the event, all parties formally signed the Framework Agreement on Deepening Commercial-Cultural-Tourism Linkage and Traffic Attraction Strategic Cooperation, initiating a new era of mutually beneficial development.
