Linyi reports steady growth in foreign trade in H1

Shandong's Linyi demonstrated steady growth in foreign trade during the first half of 2026, recording a total import and export value of 91.87 billion yuan (13.6 billion), ranking sixth in Shandong province. June alone saw a strong rebound, with combined imports and exports surging 13.9 percent year-on-year to 21.75 billion yuan.

Private enterprises served as the primary economic driver, contributing 88.66 billion yuan and accounting for 96.5 percent of the city's total trade. Linyi's business activity continued to expand, supported by 19,483 registered foreign trade enterprises, including 2,283 newly added companies.

The city's export commodities achieved full coverage across all 22 major trade categories for the first time. Local signature industries maintained robust international competitiveness, with auto parts, wood products, food, and willow weaving achieving strong export figures. Meanwhile, exports trade with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative reached 70.42 billion yuan, representing 76.6 percent of the city's total volume.

With diversified markets, rising private sector participation, and comprehensive product offerings, Linyi's foreign trade sector maintains a strong upward trajectory, laying a solid foundation for high-quality economic development throughout the year.
