Linyi, Shandong province, is transforming its summer evenings into a showcase of culture, cuisine, and entertainment, with more than 200 cultural tourism activities planned for the summer.
At the center of the city's nighttime offerings are two major cultural tourism destinations – Denghuo Lanshan · New Langya block and Langya Ancient City – which combine traditional culture with immersive experiences. Visitors can enjoy lantern tours, hanfu (traditional Chinese attire) parades, traditional rituals, and performances throughout the evening.
The city is also linking more cultural attractions through nighttime tourism routes. At the former residence of calligrapher Wang Xizhi (303–361), a summer night tour features 12 live performances that recreate historical scenes, offering visitors a different way to experience the ancient garden.
Beyond cultural venues, Linyi's night markets bring local flavors to the summer scene, featuring specialties such as handmade gluten products and pancakes. The 2026 Linyi Media Qingdao Beer Festival has also become a gathering place for residents and visitors looking to enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment.
Meanwhile, museums across the city have extended opening hours, while traditional performances and cultural experiences continue to expand Linyi's nighttime tourism offerings.
