
Linyi plans to build more than 260 electric heavy-truck charging stations by 2030, aiming to create a green logistics model supported by high-power charging infrastructure.
The city is building an energy supply system for electric heavy trucks by coordinating energy security, transport-energy integration and low-carbon development. The network targets two major scenarios: long-distance trunk freight and short-haul urban distribution. Charging stations are planned near expressway entrances, service areas, national and provincial highway intersections, logistics parks and industrial zones.
From 2026 to 2027, Linyi plans to build 26 high-power demonstration charging stations, including 10 at major expressway service areas along routes such as the Beijing-Shanghai, Rizhao-Lankao, and Changchun-Shenzhen expressways, and 16 along key freight corridors including G518 and S313.
The city will also standardize station construction to improve charging services. New demonstration stations are expected to follow provincial standards on site selection, equipment, power supply, data access, fire safety and security. Each charging gun should provide at least 720 kilowatts of charging capacity, with room for future megawatt-level upgrades. Driver service areas will offer drinking water, phone charging, meal heating and shower facilities.
Green power supply is another focus. Linyi plans to integrate photovoltaic, energy storage, charging and battery-swapping facilities, while promoting vehicle-to-grid technologies, virtual power plants and energy monitoring systems. Preferential electricity policies and simplified grid-connection procedures will help reduce station operation and vehicle charging costs.
