Linyi Qiyang International Airport

Linyi Airport, initially established in 1958, is the earliest civil airport in Shandong province. After expanding in 1994 and subsequent renovations, it resumed operations on Dec 26, 1998. In 2019, it was approved as an open aviation port by the State Council and renamed Linyi Qiyang Airport. By December 2023, it had been upgraded to Linyi Qiyang International Airport.

Covering 263 hectares, the airport features a 3,200-meter runway and a 17,600-square-meter terminal building, accommodating 1.35 million passengers annually. Its cargo facility spans 29,000 square meters, capable of handling 50,000 metric tons of cargo yearly. Currently undergoing its fourth, largest expansion, it will support 12 million passengers annually upon completion.

Linyi Airport has achieved remarkable growth, with passenger throughput surging from 1.03 million in 2015 to 2.47 million in 2024. It collaborates with 15 airlines, operating 50 domestic and international routes to 34 cities.
