Linyi is China's largest base for the production of plywood, decorative paper, and woodworking machinery.
Government support includes a 500-million-yuan ($72.69 million) special fund for timber industry development and a 2-billion-yuan guidance fund for major industrial and technological projects.
There were 1,539 enterprises above designated size in the timber sector in 2024, a jump of 253 from the previous year, with an output value of 135.15 billion yuan.
