For years, Dongying in East China's Shandong province and Samcheok in South Korea have been deepening their ties through cultural and artistic exchanges.
From Aug 31 to Sept 4, a 24-member delegation from Samcheok visited Dongying for the 19th China-South Korea Cultural and Artistic Exchange between the two sister cities.
The program featured a joint performance, a photography exhibition and cultural visits. Samcheok artists presented traditional dances, folk songs and instrumental music, while Dongying performers showcased Lyu Opera, martial arts and Chinese folk songs. The two cultures met on one stage to warm applause.

The delegation also explored Dongying's local heritage, met with artists and residents, and learned about community development, agritourism and intangible cultural heritage preservation. At the Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve, they admired the spectacular sight of the Yellow River meeting the sea.
