With its GDP surpassing 450 billion yuan ($66.47 billion), Dongying in East China's Shandong province has entered a new stage of development. Looking toward 2030, the city aims to advance modernization and strengthen its role as a major growth engine in northern Shandong.
Ecological protection will remain a key priority for the city. It will restore wetlands, enhance biodiversity, improve air, water and soil quality, and promote the development of wind, solar, geothermal, CCUS and green hydrogen projects. It will also expand the productive use of saline-alkali land and strengthen food security.
