A delegation from Triel-sur-Seine, France, led by Deputy Mayor Gilles Gaillard, visited Dongying in East China's Shandong province from July 8 to 9.
During the visit, Wang Xiufeng, vice mayor of Dongying, met with the delegation. The two sides engaged in friendly discussions on cooperation in trade, environmental protection, culture, tourism, education and sports. Both expressed their willingness to build closer ties and create more opportunities for exchanges between the two cities.

Following the meeting, Dongying and Triel-sur-Seine signed a letter of intent to establish friendly cooperative relations. The agreement will support long-term communication and practical cooperation between government departments, institutions, businesses and local communities.
The delegation also visited the Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve, Sun Tzu Cultural Park, Dongying Vocational Institute and several urban development sites. The guests spoke highly of Dongying's progress in ecological conservation, cultural development, vocational education and city management.
The visit marked a new step in Dongying's growing exchanges with France.
