The coastal city of Qingdao in Shandong province and Chinese information technology (IT) firm Inspur Group will collaborate to boost the development of the digital economy in the city.

On June 19, Inspur Cloud, a subsidiary of Inspur Group, and the government of Jiaozhou, a county-level city in Qingdao, signed a cooperation agreement to promote smart city construction.

Inspur Cloud will help Jiaozhou build an intelligent computing center and a national digital security experimental zone and drive the local digital transformation.

On the same day, Inspur Industrial Internet, also a subsidiary of Inspur Group, signed a cooperation agreement with the administrative committee of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area.

The two parties will share resources and cooperate in the fields of dual carbon industry research, energy trade and digital ecology. They will establish a joint scientific research institution and use the low-carbon energy management and control platform to build low-carbon smart parks.

Inspur Group is China's leading cloud computing and big data service provider. It provides IT products and services for governments and enterprises in more than 120 countries and regions.
