The industrial internet is playing a bigger role in supporting the development of new infrastructure and building a new pattern of domestic and international dual circulation said Xiao Xue, CEO of Inspur Industrial Internet during an interview at the third Qingdao Multinationals Summit, a two-day event opened on June 19 in Qingdao, Shandong province.

Inspur, one of China's leading internet technology solutions suppliers based in Jinan, Shandong, is working to build an industrial internet platform with an international influence and provide solutions for the intelligent transformation in the manufacturing industry.

The industrial internet industry is an important part of the new industrial infrastructure belonging to the ultra-long chain business, Xiao said, adding that the technological transformation and industrial upgrading with green and environmental protection as the core is a necessary way to seek the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.

Inspur Cloud, a subsidiary of Inspur Group created a smart energy cloud platform to promote industrial enterprises and parks to improve management efficiency of energy, resources and the environment.

Xiwang Special Steel Co, a steel manufacturer located in Shandong, built an intelligent steelmaking system based on the Inspur Cloud industrial internet platform, which has helped save on material and energy consumption. The annual cost of steelmaking is expected to reach 92.4 million yuan ($13.77 million).

Inspur is actively promoting cooperation with multinational firms. At present, Inspur's business has expanded to more than 120 countries and regions. Inspur server market share ranks second in the world.

The Qingdao summit provided a platform for Inspur to seek cooperation and further development, Xiao added.

The group signed an agreement with China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area to promote the region's low-carbon development at the opening ceremony of the summit.

A series of Inspur's high-tech products were displayed at the Exhibition on Multinationals and China, which was part of the third Qingdao Multinational Summit, covering cloud computing, the industrial internet, big data, digital infrastructure, and intelligent terminals.

Among them, the Inspur Cloud Cross-border Trade Digital Service Platform has garnered a lot of attention for its contribution to increasing the effectiveness and digital application of cross-border trade.
