The fifth Conference for Small and Medium Enterprise Service Providers was held on Dec 4 in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province.

The conference was organized by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province under the guidance of the China Center for Promotion of SME Development.

More than 1,000 guests attended the conference, including government officials, industry leaders, representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, experts and reporters from home and abroad.

The conference included a main forum, five sub-forums, an exhibition and a match-making activity.

Six experts and industry leaders, including Zhang Yansheng, a senior researcher with the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Jin Yanshi, a popular economist and former investment banker and Hao Yunpeng, the COSMOPlat Consulting Manager of Haier Group, gave reports at the conference discussing the development direction of private enterprises and the transformation strategy of SMEs.

The sub-forums discussed problems facing SMEs and put forward solutions, in particular focusing on financial innovation, enterprise informatization, intellectual property protection and human capital.

The conference has been held annually since 2015 and has provided quality services to nearly 10,000 enterprises.
