The exhibition hall for Shandong liquor recently opened in Ningyang, a county-level city of Tai'an in East China's Shandong province, first of its kind in the city.

The establishment of this exhibition hall is an effort made to facilitate the integration of the liquor production and the cultural tourism, promote the transformation and upgrading of the traditional Shandong liquor industry, and accelerate the area's conversion of new and old kinetic energy.

The hall, covering an area of 163.6 mu (10.91 hectares) and a combined floor area of 80,094 square meters, received the investment of 520 million yuan ($75.37 million) from Shandong Jincaishan Liquor Co.

It is equipped with an area displaying the traditional methods and skills of making liquor, a liquor cellar, an inspection center, and a packing center. Additionally, an exhibition area showing the Chinese traditional alcoholic culture, including the origin of liquor-making, historical stories, customs, taboos, as well as policies relating to liquor's production, circulation, selling and usage, is being under construction. A total of 23,000 tons of liquor have been collected in the exhibition hall.

"Shandong is a province that not only excels at making liquor, but it is also rich in alcoholic culture. The exhibition hall, which displays the thousands of years of history of Shandong liquor, provides opportunities for visitors to experience the charm of the liquor and the traditional alcoholic culture," said Meng Xianbo, president of Shandong Jincaishi Liquor Co.

Shandong Jincaishi Liquor Co, founded in 1948, celebrates its 70th anniversary this year and is one of the Top 30 liquor companies in Shandong province.
